By contracting with The English Bus you will be accepting these terms and conditions on behalf of yourself and all other persons using our services pursuant to a booking made by you.

2. Payment

Full payment is required at time of booking. We accept payment by credit or debit card. Full payment is required before your booking can be confirmed.

Customers from an institution offering a tour discount must bring evidence of attendance at the relevant institution for the discount to be valid. If no proof of attendance is shown, the balance of the full retail price must be paid before the tour commences or your booking will be cancelled. Monies will be returned in accordance with clause 9 of the terms and conditions regarding cancellations.

3. Terms & conditions

Relating to the supply of the service to you (The Customer) by The English Bus, details of which are set out below.

4. Tickets

Customers purchasing tickets on this website will need to bring a printed or electronic receipt of their booking and show it to the driver on arrival at the departure point.

5. Date of departure & collection timings

These are subject to change or cancellation, should unforeseen circumstances occur. Please reconfirm at time of booking. A tour is non refundable if you miss the departure time through no fault of ours. We are under no obligation to wait for late passengers, however we will make every effort to make sure you join the tour. Please ensure that you are at the stated departure point for your tour at least 15 minutes before the departure time. We cannot rebook or refund for you missing a tour as a result of delays on other transport such as the underground, buses, traffic or trains.

6. Convenient returns

Your driver has to work under strict legal and time restrictions and therefore you will be dropped back at convenient stops, depending on the traffic conditions. Victoria, Earls Court, Westminster and Waterloo will usually feature in these drop-offs but this is subject to change based on traffic conditions and timings. Your driver will be happy to assist and advise you. All tours will return to the departure points we left from at the start of the tour.

7. Smoking

Smoking is not permitted on the bus, but all tours make frequent stops.

8. Children

Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult with a maximum of 2 children for each adult booking to ensure safety. The minimum age for children travelling on The English Bus is 3 years old.

9. Cancellations

Due to the global uncertainty surrounding Coronavirus, we are operating more flexible booking terms.

Our policy for travellers with existing bookings (confirmed prior to 4th March 2020)

Our original booking conditions (see below for details) apply to any cancellations unless you've been directly affected by a travel ban (in which case you will receive a refund). We'll continue to monitor and respond to change in public health information and advise as the situation develops.

However, we will offer increased flexibility on all bookings to help ease the situation surrounding coronavirus, and will offer the following options, even if a refund is not officially due per the terms you originally booked under:

  • a free of charge date change

or

  • a 12 month credit from your booked tour date.

Please note: Date change and credit requests must be notified in writing at least 72 hours before the original booked tour, and date change/credited tours are subject to availability and are non-transferable and non-refundable at any time. Date change/credited tours must be redeemed within 12 months of original tour date. Expired credits are non refundable and not redeemable for cash.

Our policy for travellers with bookings made between 4th - 31st March 2020 for all future travel with The English Bus

To provide greater flexibility to our customers with upcoming travel plans, we have introduced a flexible booking policy for your peace of mind. We'll continue to monitor and respond to changes in public health information and advise as the situation develops.

  • bookings cancelled within 72 hours of departure will be non refundable and non transferable, and no shows will also be non refundable.

Alternatively:

  • bookings will be transferable to an alternative date within a 12 month time period beyond the date of the original booking provided

or

  • a 12 month credit can be provided to rebook on any tour that we, The English Bus, operate ourselves.

Please note: Date change and credit requests must be notified in writing at least 72 hours before the original booked tour, and date change/credited tours are subject to availability and are non-transferable and non-refundable at any time. We reserve the right to refuse boarding to any passenger deemed unfit or unwell so as to put others at risk. In this event our responsibility for the booking thereupon ceases. Full cancellation charges will apply and we will be under no obligation whatsoever for any refund, compensation or loss you may incur.

We reserve the right to terminate the tour in the event of behaviour deemed to be unreasonable by our staff.  Also the driver may at their discretion require any person to alight from a tour at any point if his/her conduct is deemed offensive or a nuisance to other passengers, or if behaving in such a way as to constitute a risk to his/her safety or to the safety of other passengers, and we shall have no further liability.
