WE'RE OPEN!

After a long period of closure during the worst of the Covid-19 outbreak through 2020 and 2021 we are delighted to say we are back running tours and welcoming guests once more. 

All covid restrictions in England have been removed entirely. There are no testing or mask requirements in public spaces or on transport. Individual private businesses may have their own rules, but day to day life has returned to almost complete normality.

Guest safety & comfort

During the coronavirus pandemic we are acutely aware that many people understandably have reservations about travel. 

Please rest assured that we:

Have carried out a thorough health and safety risk assessment.
Always keep a clean, well-ventilated mini-coach, with regular extra cleaning during the tour.
Our driver/guides are fully trained and up-to-date with COVID-19 related health and safety procedures.
We support the UK government’s Test & Trace scheme.

All our tour groups are small (maximum 16 passengers but Fall 2021 averaged 6-10 persons per tour). 

Guests are not required to wear masks but we fully support you if you wish to. Complimentary masks are available at the start of the tour if requested.

Hand sanitiser is freely available.

Our policy for travellers with bookings made on or after 17th May 2022 for all future travel with The English Bus

To provide EVEN greater flexibility to our customers with upcoming travel plans, we have introduced an even more flexible booking policy for your peace of mind. We'll continue to monitor and respond to changes in public health information and advise as the situation develops.

For bookings made on or after 17th May 2022 for all future travel:

• Bookings will be 100% refundable (less a £5 per person admin fee) if we, The English Bus, are notified at least 24 hours before departure.
• Bookings cancelled within 24 hours of departure will be non refundable and non transferable, and no shows will also be non refundable.

Our policy for travellers with bookings made between 4th March 2020 and 16th May 2022 for all future travel with The English Bus

To provide greater flexibility to our customers with upcoming travel plans, we have introduced an even more flexible booking policy for your peace of mind. We'll continue to monitor and respond to changes in public health information and advise as the situation develops.

For bookings made up to 16th May 2022 for all future travel:

• Bookings will be 100% refundable (less a £5 per person admin fee) if we, The English Bus, are notified at least 72 hours before departure.
• Bookings cancelled within 72 hours of departure will be non refundable and non transferable, and no shows will also be non refundable.

Alternatively:

• Bookings will be transferable to an alternative date for an unlimited time period beyond the date of the original booking provided. You need not specify the date when requesting a credit.

Or

• A credit can be provided to rebook on any tour that we, The English Bus, operate ourselves at any time into the future - this will not expire.

Please note: Date changes and credit requests must be notified in writing at least 72 hours before the original booked tour, and date change/credited tours are subject to availability and are non-transferable and non-refundable at any time. Expired credits are non refundable and not redeemable for cash.

If there is a government imposed travel ban to the UK and within the UK, you will be refunded in full.

The latest information on local conditions

As of September 2022, all attractions and locations are open for business as usual in England. There are no covid restrictions left in the UK.
